Marathon Team
Our legacy began in 1982, when Proud to Run held its inaugural race with just 40 dedicated participants at Foster Avenue Beach. Since then, our event has become a cornerstone of Pride Week, welcoming thousands of runners, walkers, and supporters who unite to uplift Chicago's vibrant LGBTQ+ community. Through the tireless efforts of our Chicago Marathon Team and the generosity of our supporters, we offer unrestricted grants to empower smaller LGBTQ+ non-profits. These grants are crucial for fostering growth and providing these organizations with the resources they need to thrive. By joining us in our mission, your contribution can help ignite change and sustain the spirit of pride, inclusivity, and support that defines Proud to Run.
